Mark Leversedge Memorial Scholarship Fund
Mark Leversedge, longtime percussion caption head at RUHS, made an indelible mark on both the marching band and winter drumline programs. Throughout his tenure, he taught, wrote, and directed every show, dedicating himself fully to his students. His unwavering loyalty, strong work ethic, and deep love for teaching were evident in everything he did.
Mark’s passing after a courageous battle with cancer was a tremendous loss. He exemplified the core values of our organization, and his legacy will continue to inspire for years to come. In his honor, this scholarship fund was established to preserve his memory and support future students.
Ranger Band Scholarship Fund
The Ranger Band Scholarship Fund is a need based scholarship, created to support and inspire students who demonstrate exceptional dedication, talent, and passion for the performing arts, values that define the spirit of our Ranger Band and Color Guard community.
This scholarship is designed for students who are committed to their musical or performance journey and who exemplify the core values of hard work, teamwork, and perseverance—whether on the field, in the band room, or during countless hours of rehearsal.
By contributing to this fund, we honor the legacy of the Ranger Band and Color Guard, and we help empower the next generation of performers to pursue their goals. Support our Meals Program
Sponsor a Rehearsal or Competition Day Meal
The RUMBA Meals Program for Band was created to ensure that all band students have access to meals during their practices and performances. We recognize that long rehearsal times and late nights can make it difficult for students to get the meals they need, and this program aims to provide them with the support they deserve by providing low-cost meals.
By offering low-cost meals after school, we ensure that our band members can stay focused, energized, and committed to their music, performance, and teamwork. This program is designed to eliminate any obstacles related to hunger, allowing students to fully engage in their band experience without distraction.
The average cost paid by RUMBA after student payment is $300 to $500 per meal.
Sponsor a Competition Day Snack
The RUMBA Meals Program provides no-cost snacks to band students after school, as well as on competition days and during special events. We understand the demands placed on our students during long rehearsals and performances, and this program ensures they have access to the food they need to stay energized and focused.
This initiative is made possible through the generosity of our community, as we rely on donations to continue supporting our students. With this help, we can ensure that every band member can participate fully in their musical journey without worry.
The average snack cost is $200 to $300 per event.

We rely on two dedicated trailers to carry our equipment across the state—from Tucson to Phoenix, Sahuarita, and beyond. Sponsorship funds help cover essential costs such as repairs, insurance, and maintenance, keeping our program running smoothly.

20' Shipping Container
Our band program is in need of additional storage space to accommodate our growing collection of equipment. To meet this need, we are seeking funding for a shipping container, which will provide a secure and accessible location for storing equipment, props, and other essential materials.
The total cost for the shipping container is $6,000. Your support would help ensure that our band students have the resources they need to continue performing and practicing without the challenges of limited space. Any contribution toward this goal would be greatly appreciated and would make a significant impact on the success of our program.
